It is an extremely long way to Ras Kutani from great BRITAIN. There's the 10 hour flight or longer if you fly Emirates to Dar es Salaam, followed closely by over two hours on of low quality roads, including an interesting river crossing, or a quick flight which we declined based on past knowledge, although I must acknowledge we flew back!! 

The problem of Ras Kutani is ideal, nestled around a lagoon on the Indian Ocean. Our hut, cabana, cottage,call it was available to the breezes, what you would like, and included one huge bed, which was also quite comfortable, with a massive mosquito net, which was necessary. I concern yourself with malaria, bugs, actually any such thing scary crawly, so was more than a little concerned at the lack of things such as glass windows, air-con, but as a result of DEET, and good mosquito nets it was no problem at all. 

Outside there clearly was a big verandah, total with hammocks, and cushions where we could sit out in the evening amply sprayed with anti insect, and watch the sun set. 

The space also had ensuite features with a bath, and was as you'd expect furnished and designed greatly by local artisans. 

The meals was excellent, much of it fish, very recently prepared by the ever willing happy cooks, in fact most of the staff were packed with beaming smiles, very polite, and ever willing. It was the flag system on the beach to summon products that was a nice touch out within the wilderness. 

There's not that much to accomplish, but if you like the sea, sailing, snorkelling, surfing/boogie boarding, in addition observe the waves if you do, then you will be in heaven, with an excellent book.
