Menorca has around 200 kilometers of coast, much of it made up of beautiful sandy coves surrounded by rocky headlands. The area has more beaches than Majorca and Ibiza assembled, so it is deservedly popular with those looking for a beach holiday. A lot of the south of the area, as in Son Bou and Cala en Porter, is just a holidaymaker's playground, with long stretches of beach which are popular and crowded in the season, but you can go for Menorcaas more out-of-the-way beaches if youad rather have more privacy [http://www.itu.dk/projects/LittleChina/wiki/index.php?title=Just_How_To_Finance_Your_Government_Contracts worth reading] .

Even in the south, you'll find small beaches such as Cala Binibeca, with a small restaurant, and Els Canutells, a small resort near Cala en Porter. And a drive from San Clemente, brings you to Calas Coves where remarkable cliffs surround two tiny beaches.

When youave sick and tired of lazing on-the beach, there are many interesting caves to find. Over 100 Bronze Age caves, filled with carvings and paintings, are cut in to the cliff overlooking the sheltered bay. At the eastern end of Son Bou are available the ruins of an early Christian basilica. Finally, the charming cash Mahon, on the east of the area, has wonderful Georgian architecture and second largest natural harbor in the entire world, second only to Pearl Harbour.

Northwards to escape the crowds

Whilst the north of Menorca has some busy places, in addition it has a good share of the islandas uncrowded small shores, interesting country walks, and a variety of water sports including sailing. At Cala Pregonda, a drive from Fornells and Son Parc, a walk from the carpark, is a remote sandy beach with crystal blue waters [http://web5.uottawa.ca/www2/inter/?p=56432 like us on facebook] . The rocky outcrops offshore give good snorkelling. Take a picnic, since there are not any facilities. The long sandy beach at Cavalleria is also quite isolated, and, again, have provisions, while there is nowhere to buy food or drinks.

Maybe not far from the lively family beach of Arenal d'en Castell with its lines of sunbeds, bars, restaurants, and prepared water activities is Na Macaret, with its little sandy beach. Itas a nearby favourite and there are several good restaurants in the wateras side. Only more to the south-east, near the lighthouse at Cap de Favaritx, may be the lovely white-sand beach of Cala Presili [http://home.exetel.com.au/borrodale/mediawiki/index.php?title=FredNock753 seo irvine] . The beach is a walk from the car park and you'll find no services, which means this beach is obviously one of Menorcaas most private. Notably more developed, but ideal for small kids is Es Grau, using its large bay, sandy beach and low water. For a trip to the nearby Illa d'en Colom, an island in the Mahn Bay, youall find a chain of beautiful remote beaches.

Solmar Villas provide a array of high-quality villas, all using their own personal pools, which sleep from 1 to 1-2 people, If you are ready to book villas in Menorca. The rentals are located in Cala Galdana, Binibeca, Binibeca Nou, Binibeca Vell, Son Bou, Belin, Cala 'n Porter, and Satalya, therefore once youave hired a vehicle, youall be well within reach of Menorcaas stunning shores.
