The preeminent show of the 1990's decade, Seinfeld grew from an idea of "a show about nothing" right into a sacred pop culture icon - not that there is anything wrong with that... The show follows living of comic Jerry Seinfeld and the uses of his short, quirky, bald man best friend, George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Jerrys neurotic neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Jerrys ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Over time, theyre joined by a loveable cast of characters which includes Newman, Uncle Leo, the Soup Nazi, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and numerous others 

The Seinfeld DVD (Seasons 1 & 2) offers the 1st glimpse to the world Jerry, beginning with The Pilot (episode 1) that has been originally entitled The Seinfeld Chronicles. The first scene involves Jerry commenting to George about a button on his shirt (the same conversation later occurs in the last scene of the series ending). These opening attacks provide insight to the development of the shows four major characters with discussions that range from Georges initial admission that hed like to be a builder (episode 2) to Kramers inclination for get rich quick schemes like a pizzeria (episode 4). From as must see TV, creating such unique symptoms as The Pony Remark, The Stock Tip, The Deal, and The Chinese Restaurant day one, Seinfeld established it self. 

Apparently, in the pilot bout of Seinfeld, Elaines character doesn't yet exist, and Kramers character (not yet called Kramer, but Feldman) is more of an unemployed, slow, shut-in friend when compared to a cool and dynamic Cosmo. Playing the role of the feminine in George and Jerrys life is really a wisecracking server named Claire (Lee Garlington) who never appears in later episodes. 

None the less, this initial show indicates the flashes of beauty that made Seinfeld a social phenomenon. The show is basically about nothing. Jerry and George do some laundry Jerry and his neighbor watch some TELEVISION George and Jerry have some coffee During that time, the dominant subject of discussion is really a woman that Jerry met while getting his comedy act traveling. Shes coming to keep at his place, but he doesnt know whether he should grab a mattress on her or not. Feldman (Kramer), George, and Jerry discussion this issue constantly until the woman arrives and Jerry finds that its all irrelevant because shes engaged
