Yellowstone was created as national park in March of 1872. Though elements of the park are in Montana and Idaho Yellowstone is especially positioned in Wyoming. The park is well known for the geothermal activity and the wildlife that use as their houses the park. Yellowstone Park is composed approximately 80% forest and the others of the land area is grassland. The park is larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined together. Yellowstone National Park covers a location around 3,472 square miles. This area consists of ponds, canyons, mountain ranges, and rivers. Yellowstone Lake is one of many highest altitude lakes. The ponds level is 7,733 above sea level. The sea is approximately 87,040 miles in all and is near 400 hundred feet deep. In addition, it has around 110 miles of shore line for vacationers and wild life to savor. Its concentrated on the top of largest very volcano on the continent called the Yellowstone Caldera. The volcano is recognized as to be effective due to the many eruptions throughout the last two million years.
