Now, if this is a very elegant and very large wedding, this solution might not work since there is certain decorum to keep up, but for an informal, fun, family-centered wedding some of those activities can be fun. 

They could be asked to get out on the dance floor themselves first and hula hoop or perform their very own version of a rest dance, if friends wish to "call out" the wedding pair onto the dance floor. Much in the way guests often have to "perform" to having fun in order to create fun wedding thoughts for the groom and bride and get the kiss to the pair that is still another way to get the guests required.
