Black's Beach is a two mile long, sandy strip of 

beach located at the beds base of the beautiful cliffs 

Which can be up to 300 foot high. Officially known 

as Torrey Pines City Beach, it's jointly owned by 

The Town of Hillcrest and the State of California. 

There's also a glider dock atop the cliff that 

overlooks the beach where hang gliders and also 

Handy remote control gliders is visible rising. 

Increasing usage of Black's Beach is not easy due 

to the lack and high cliffs of staircases. The 

safest entry is from the nearby shores to the
