In this essay, I reveal the different forms of stuttering treatments that exist. My back ground, I started stuttering at age four, it continued till I was twenty-two, basically damaging the eighteen years among. I then struggled quite difficult and ultimately transformed the stutter. 

According to latest figures, around one per cent of people in the UK have a stutter. Most of these people will have seeked help at some level of their life, and will have looked into stuttering treatments and different forms of stuttering therapy. This is what they might have found: 

Traditional speech treatment 

Speech therapy is where the most individuals who stutter begins when trying to boost their speech. I myself, attended speech remedy from the age of five, I continued attending before the age of eighteen. Thirteen years and I still had the stutter, which was successful! 

The advice I'd been presented at speech therapy was basically: 

Talk gradually 

take a deep breath before you speak 

accept your stutter

There are now a number of private conversation lessons that are run on an organization basis. For me these are of more importance than conventional speech therapy as at least the goal of the course is to remove the stutter. Speech therapy is more of preventing and accepting the stutter.

Additionally, there are one to one conversation classes available. Personally, I believe that here is the best form of stuttering therapy as each person could have their very own personal stutter and needs.
