In this specific article, I reveal the various kinds of stuttering treatments that are offered. My history, I started stuttering at age four, it continued until I was twenty-two, generally damaging the eighteen years between. I then fought very difficult and eventually overcame the stutter.

Speech therapy is where in fact the most people who stutter will begin when attempting to boost their speech. The advice I had been provided at speech therapy was basically:

take a deep breath before you talk

I'm sorry but that advice is simply not sufficient. 

Group stuttering conversation classes 

There are now a number of individual conversation courses that are run on an organization basis. For me they are of more value than conventional speech therapy as at least the aim of the course would be to remove the stutter. Speech therapy is more of accepting and managing the stutter. 

One to one speech programs 

Additionally there are one to one speech classes available. I personally think that this is actually the best form of stuttering treatment as each person may have their particular specific stutter and needs. 

Stuttering home help e-book and dvd 

For folks who would prefer a self help type of stuttering therapy, nowadays there are stuttering e-books and dvds available.
