新页面

The preeminent show of the 1990's decade, Seinfeld grew from a notion of "a show about nothing" into a holy pop culture icon - not that there's such a thing wrong with that... The show follows the life of comedian Jerry Seinfeld and the exploits of his small, nice, bald guy companion, George Costanza (Jason Alexander), Jerrys neurotic neighbor Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards), and Jerrys ex-girlfriend Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Through the years, theyre joined by way of a loveable cast of characters that includes Newman, Uncle Leo, the Soup Nazi, Frank and Estelle Costanza, the Bubble Boy, and countless others

The Seinfeld DVD (Seasons 1 & 2) provides the 1st glance into the world Jerry, beginning with The Pilot (event 1) that has been originally called The Seinfeld Chronicles. The first scene requires Jerry commenting to George about a button on his shirt (the same dialogue later occurs in the last scene of the series ending). These beginning episodes provide insight into the development of the shows four primary characters with interactions that range from Georges preliminary admission that hed like to be a builder (episode 2) to Kramers propensity for get rich quick schemes like a pizzeria (episode 4). From day one, Seinfeld established it self as must see TELEVISION, producing such wonderful episodes as The Pony Remark, The Stock Tip, The Offer, and The Chinese Restaurant.

Apparently, in the pilot episode of Seinfeld, Elaines character doesn't yet exist, and Kramers character (not yet named Kramer, but Feldman) is more of an unemployed, horrible, shut-in friend when compared to a trendy and enthusiastic Cosmo. Playing the part of the feminine in George and Jerrys life is just a wisecracking waiter called Claire (Lee Garlington) who never appears in later episodes.

Nevertheless, this initial event demonstrates the flashes of brilliance that made Seinfeld a cultural phenomenon. The show is actually about nothing. Jerry and George do some laundry Jerry and his neighbor watch some TV George and Jerry have some coffee During that time, the dominant subject of discussion is a woman that Jerry met while using his comedy act traveling. Shes coming to stay at his place, but he doesnt know whether he should pull out a mattress for her or not. Feldman (Kramer), George, and Jerry discussion the subject endlessly before woman comes and Jerry learns that its all irrelevant because shes involved
