Dog sitting is something I have always done...I recall placing pamphlets seeking employment as your dog walker as early as age 10. I've for ages been tasked with taking care of the others animals because I will remember. I did not necessarily get paid, but that has been OK. I loved animals and I wanted to care for them. I began the official pet sitting company in 2003, after being let go from my 'real' job. I have learned a lot about pet sitting in the last seven years and I enjoy being a pet sitter. So, enough of that...you wish to know what I actually do! What is a typical day in living of a pet sitter? Here we go...July 3, 2010.5:30 am: Alarm clock rings....ahhh...is it already day? Yes it is. I am really happy to get up and going. I have a big time today due to the 4th of July holiday. My dogs grow and get me up...breakfast time you know! I give the dogs and jump in the shower.6:15 am: A quick check of my mail to see if some of my customers need something. And to also confirm my plan for the day.6:30 am: Diet Coke and toast in hand, hair still wet, and wearing capri jeans, a shirt, and shoes, I say good bye to my group and off I go.7:00 am: My first stop is to see Bibi, Peasy, Minou, and Tawny...4 power supplies repair. Bibi is insulin-dependent, seeking insulin at 7am and 7pm. Peasy is a pretty tuxedo pet. I and he have a lot of fun playing. Following the shot, play-time, cleaning litter bins, and giving the kitties, I was on my way again.7:45 am: Next stop on my pet sitting morning times is always to see Rusty, an 18 year old senior pet. Rusty rests a great deal, but enjoys his program of going outside and smelling all the flowers and then drinking from the fountain. He likes to be combed and purrs quite loudly when I brush him. I like him and fear thinking that he isn't miss this world. After offering Rusty three medicines he always fights, cleaning the cat litter box, and replenishing his food and water, I'm on my way again.8:30: A quick stop to give certainly one of my sitter's cats, Cassandra and Boo. My caretaker is doing an overnight job on the other part of community, so today she would not have to produce a special trip house so I wanted to feed them. Back my car and on my way again....8:45: Time to see Katie kitty...a really social small pet that's high in character. She was picked by me up and she began purring loudly. I always look forward to kitty sitting for my friend, Katie. My client's left me a note and asked me to water some external plants and enable myself to as much lettuce from the yard as I wanted. Yay! I enjoy the rewards of dog sitting....what a nice address. I was going to end at Fred Meyer next to acquire some lettuce for Lil' Miss Funny Face, the turtle, nevertheless now I don't need certainly to. After giving Katie plenty of TLC, washing her container, eating her and taking care of the flowers, I am traveling again.9:30: a quick stop at the ATM to deposit last weeks' checks. It's difficult to find the full time to do these things.9:45 am: Fish, geckos and Lil' Miss the turtle are next on my schedule. I make a shower for Lil' Miss so she could possibly get hydrated. While she's swimming, I look after the geckos, fish, and flowers. Then I clear Lil' Miss's crate and grab a few of the clean lettuce on her behalf. I let her walk about the apartment...she loves to stretch her legs. Then I set her back into her aquarium...she dives into the heap of fresh lettuce...yummm. On my way.10:30 am: Time and back again to my vehicle to see Rusty and Sammy, two cutie tabby cats. Same routine as above. Nice, cultural cats. Enjoyment to see.11:15 am: I move right down to the North end to see Iggy and Hobo....two nice kitties. We spend all of our time on the patio, enjoying the beautiful evening. After caring for them, I also water plants and turn the drip line on and off.12 noon: Off to SW Boise to care for 3 corgis and a pet. Therefore pretty! I simply take a lot of photos.1:00 pm. Back again to the very first kitties...Bibi needs a blood examination mid-way between her shots.2:00 pm. Property for a rest! Then I jump on the computer to send updates as much as my clients.5:00 pm: Back to the corgis for supper time, play and outside time.5:40 pm: I go to Mitchell and McMillan to see Max and Abby...two labs. After dinner, we have a good walk. Treat time once we get back.7:00 pm: Round three with the initial set of kitties...time for insulin.8:00 pm. Time to visit Rusty for his next visit today. Not too many meds in the evening. He was an excellent boy for me.9:00 pm. Home to take care of my dogs, e-mail consumers, put a load of wash in.11:15 pm. Finally, I drop into bed so I can take action all again tomorrow!Crazy schedule? Yes, but I still love pet sitting! There you have it! What do you think now?!
