If your student is a sophomore or junior, you might be just starting to find out about all that is necessary for college or university applications. Of course, exams are a major portion of the process and a lot of students require some form of SAT or ACT prep today. Identifying what they require is the first step in preparing for the SAT. The next phase is taking a sample SAT or ACT. An SAT practice exam, such as the ones given this month at Lindero Learning Center in Westlake Village, will help each student know how much, if any, SAT/ACT exam prep they require.

When to undertake test prep is as significant as what preparation needs to be done. The traditional period for preparation is for Juniors to take a PSAT in Oct, get scores back in Dec, then take the actual SAT early in the year (March, April, or May, for instance). But, that timetable is not always the right one for your pupil. There are several factors to consider that may lead to a break from that tradition.

Your student school and extra-curriclar program needs to give the time required for enough test tutoring. Sports seasons, school perfomances, or other school events eat up time that should be given to test preparation and may merit shifting the test dates to fit your established schedule.

When your child has kept up in highschool, they ought to possess a lot of the math concepts they'll need by the end of their sophomore year. As high school juniors, they should develop the language arts abilities. These are very often areas that require extra groundwork, and a free practice exam is the fastest way to find out what, if any, assistance your student should have to have satisfactory SAT/ACT examination scores. If they do require help. make sure it is available they've got time to take full advantage of it.
