They first appeared in publications, later in the movies and tv, then in toy shops. Motion people. Larger than life. Placed on this Earth to get the work done. Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Tarzan, the Lone Ranger.Well, now there is a new man on the block. Go over Indiana Jones; let's hear a huge round of applause for Ed the painting.I was Christmas shopping at the toy shop for some of the younger individuals on our list, when most of the sudden... There it absolutely was. Right below Elmo! There stood Ed the Painter! Dressed in his paint-speckled overalls, brown boots and green clothing. Right next to Harry the Mason, Bill the Plumber and Charlie the Builder. Now I'm sure that Bill, Harry and Charlie were ready people, but Ed the Painter only felt like the real thing to me. He is an action hero with a comb in the place of a gun, and exactly like me, he's out to paint the planet a much better place. At the checkout counter, a teenage woman said, "Do you realize this doll is for 3-year-olds and up?", as she pointed sideways of the box.I noticed her name tag and responded, "It is okay, Jackie, I'm buying this for myself, and I'm 36." She gave me a funny look and a lol. "I am a painting company within Asheville," I guaranteed her."Oh..... You then are gonna have a great time today are not cha?" she giggled. Then Jackie got critical, "You know, I am attempting to have my room painted crimson. Might you do that?""I positive could!" as I reached for my wallet to cover and hand her a Dale Painting & Services company card.As I headed out the door, Jackie screamed, "I can have my mother call you!" I didn't really think I'd hear from her, but affirmed, another morning, her mom called and setup a scheduled appointment for me personally to give an I got home from the toy store, I quickly went to work, or should I tell perform. I was told by my wife I ought to keep Ed in the package and perhaps not start it. Well, this was not a valuable. It was an hero that was designed to be played with. And that is just what I was going to do.I set him on your kitchen dining table and needed Ed from the box. Every one of the accessories looked familiar to me, including a, brushes, roller, plus cans of paint and primer. There clearly was even a cute little drop fabric. I decided I would only look at him for a while; take in what a star painter actually appeared to be. Edward was bigger than life and through him, I was going to manage to save your self the entire world, and that never appeared to become a reality in real life on the job site. Then something caught my eye. I realized that the quart of paint thinner came up to Ed's armpit. One of many paintbrushes was provided that him arm. Arrived at think about it, it wasn't Ed that was greater than life, it was his gear that was so titanic. Then it hit me that this wasn't any regular painter. This is Ed the Painter: Super-hero plumber. He could use a giant brush to paint quicker and make more money, since he was super-human strong. I would be taken by what a week to complete, Ed could do in a day! That gave him the additional time he had a need to make public appearances and such.I ended up painting Jackie's room. Black purple on the light and bottom half purple on the upper half. When I was painting Jackie's place, I set Ed the Painter on her bureau to offer me some motivation. After Jackie's mom found how wonderful her bedroom turned out, she requested me to paint the remainder of the house (maybe not crimson however). Thanks Jackie. And thank you Ed!I believed Ed and I would be together forever. Any time I was doing a paint job, I would be watched over by Ed to ensure I did everything correctly and the consumer was entirely satisfied. I decided that the near future appeared bright for Ed the Painter. He'd soon have his own animation and video game. And I could be his sidekick. Then it just happened. I arrived home from work one day to find my daughter's Chihuahua chewing up Ed!I could not believe it. Ed was dead. But again, perhaps he was not. Just possibly he lived on in my heart, within my head. Every color job I do, Ed inspires me to do the work of not really a plumber, but of a musician. Edward, I'll never forget you.And if I ever paint your house, do not only thank me for work well done, thank Ed the Painter as well.
