Imagine a website where you get on a daily basis to see a funny thought for the day. In addition to this, imagine if that site delivers the humorous thought for the afternoon to your mail?

And imagine if in place of providing boring, you have-heard-it-a-thousand-times-before humor, that site provided new, baked-daily humor produced on-site inside their in-store stoves?

Well... that's the task I've taken on.

And it is turning out to be quite the challenge to steadfastly keep up with baking all those daily loaves of jokes.

So how would you start making a thought for the day that is amusing and never have to be described as a professional comedian?

Below are a few tips:

1. Look at the types of things in your everyday activity that you find unusual, silly, hard-to-understand, ridiculous or embarrassing.

2. Come up with a way to state one of these things in a way that leads your head in one way. Then, suddenly shift direction with the last part. This is actually the setup/punchline structure of humor.

3. For as you can confirmed thought, produce as much setup/punchline variations. Keep driving to create them, even when you think you can not come up with any more. The ones you fight hard for are usually the funnier ones.

4. Try to make your laughter express your final point in an indirect way. It is funnier to say someone can use "subsidies of something" than to say someone "someone does not have much something."

5. With each setup/punchline, perform with the words to try to make your humor short and to the point. Wordy "humor" generally isn't as funny as quick humor.

6. Attempt to cover the final location of one's funny setup/punchline before very end. You need the strike of one's laughter to be showcased at the end, with nothing following the funny part to be drained by it away.

7. Practice on a normal basis. Keep what's funny and drop what is not funny. You should have to use your best judgment here. This is simpler to do if you set what you have written apart for a few days. Then, come back later and review it. Many of humor that is lacked by the lines can stand out like a sore thumb.

Here's an example of how I developed a funny line:

- The phrase "imagination" popped in to my brain, and I considered how insulting it is to be accused of experiencing no imagination.

- I wondered what group could I insult without actually offending anyone. Politicians are often an excellent target.

- I then tried to determine how I could accuse politicians of experiencing number imagination.

- For the setup I wished to declare that I would compliment politicians by saying they had lots of imagination. Therefore I thought, "With the total amount of imagination politicians have...."

- I tried to think of a method to indirectly say someone doesn't have imagination. My approach was .".. They need to be eligible for government subsidies."

- The end result was:

With the quantity of creativity

politicians have, they need to

Be eligible for government subsidies.

That is OK, should you not find that point funny. Your sense of humor might be diverse from mine. And that's great. Laughter is quite subjective, and there is a wide variety in what exactly people find interesting. Also, examining the development of a laugh step-by-step, like we did above, has a tendency to destroy the laughter as you get.

This is actually the process I'm using on an everyday basis to create fresh humor for my thought for the afternoon website. It is not an easy task, but if the funny pours out it is exciting and enjoyable. And it is great to think that maybe I have added a little humor to the center of someone's time, maybe just at the main point where the individual's daily anxiety was planning to overcome them. That is why I call my funny thought for the afternoon Laugh Vitamin. humorous book
