In regards to contemporary fine art, everyone's taste is individual. For me, underneath line is that art enhances the grade of my entire life, and I do want to incorporate art into my surroundings in ways that makes me feel great. While one's artistic leanings can vary from hand painted silks or hand painted children's furniture to original watercolors or Giclee reproductions, the need to incorporate art into our lives dates back to your ancient ancestors.

Over time, I've found that incorporating art in to my home is less a matter of what's regarded "in" by the art world, and more a of what evokes the moods and feelings I want to experience. When I contemplated redecorating my family room, for example, I decided that I wanted to start the space in order to feel lightness - as though the weight of the world was off of my shoulders when I went into my house. For that reason, I thought we would paint the room a brilliant buttery yellow and use window treatments that reminded me of the sails on a sailboat. Naturally, I sought out original watercolors to contribute to the experience of openness and freedom in the space. The end result? An area that still makes me laugh every time I go inside, and contemporary fine art that allows me to get rid of myself in the pictures.

I desired my bedroom, on one other hand, to be an intimate host to respite. I needed it to be female yet useful, and so thought we would combine hand painted silks into the decor. The delicate silk scarves that adorn the dressing tables are a contrast to the finely crafted baskets that I use and display as small storage spaces.

My home office is focused on function, and therefore I thought we would show an accumulation black and white pictures because place. The pictures add feeling and detail to the room, while being subdued enough in order never to be distracting.

When I walk into my daughter's room, my eye is instantly attracted to the children's hand-painted furniture that occupies the room. Yes, it was an investment, but I know that the standard design and exquisite painting will undoubtedly be inside our family for generations in the future. My daughter already understands the one-of-a-kind furniture that she's, and has told me that she feels good when she's in her place.

And, all things considered, is not art meant to evoke an emotional response in us? Whether it is the shock of witnessing the complexity and depth of a work from an Old Master or a feeling of relaxation when experiencing initial watercolors that illustrate fresh plants, art serves to improve our lives and bring us joy. It's not just a matter of following the developments of the art world; rather, it all boils down to how you feel when you carry modern fine art - or some other type of art - to the room home is called by you. analyze poltrona swan
