Billiard gloves really are a pretty popular item in the billiard supplies section. I've held a couple different manufacturers in the 20 plus years of playing pool and billiard games.
When I play unless I am having a challenge with my bridge hand sticking to the pool cue I generally don't use gloves.
A few players will be found quite by you carrying pool gloves in the pool leagues. I have observed they are more prevalent with new people or beginners. You'll also locate a several professional players wearing gloves if you watch share on television.
There are 2 major causes for wearing gloves while playing pool. The foremost is to eliminate your hand sticking to the cue and dragging down your stroke. The second reason is to help keep your hand from turning colors from the billiards chalk on the pool table.

I've discovered that wearing the gloves does far from my concentration a bit and may not feel natural to me. I'm very comfortable with my closed tripod connection and have no problem with the sign being sticky a lot of the time.
I actually do however have trouble with my hand being coated with billiards chalk. I would recommend a glove, If you should be new to the game and just learning how to use a bridge. This can make the sign slip between your fingers easily.
