Figures have just been introduced for  another quarter of 2006 on the internet Performance Indicator (IPI). Studies  showing that BT has come top for the next quarter in a line according to research  printed from Internet Performance Indicator (IPI) showed that the top 5 UK broadband suppliers for  the last quarter are: BT, PIPEX, Demon, Plusnet and was taken for overall technical performance, which included  the following: Real-time data on the speed, reliability of Internet connections, just how long it takes to 

connect to the Internet, file upload and down load speeds and performance of  both ping and DNS lookup broadband internet provider  . 

Assessment was taken from eleven areas round the UK from 1st July to 30th September 2006. The sample ISP's were tested on an average of 58,313 times, and  yet again BT got the general ranking for topping the broadband  maps in that period.

After the study, it  was unearthed that the national updates to Broadband/ADSL Max are  providing a faster total pace  compared to the earlier 2Mpbs IPStream and Datastream 

Broadband/ADSL Internet  companies. 

In the time 1st July to 30th September the common  link pace was 3817.82 kbps. The highest connection speed was  achieved Plusnet in another Q3. 

The national upgrades to Broadband/ADSL Max are  giving a much faster connection pace, but what the customers are after is a more reliable resilient connection and a faster Internet service. Clients  have to know and must be alert to, is buy an "up to  8Meg" relationship does not really mean it offers 8Meg to you constantly. That is right down to the further you reside from the telephone exchange to slower the 

Rate becomes.

BT also topped the HTTP down  load speed, (this means, the quicker the HTTP speed the greater the browsing becomes). 

The fastest ping test was also managed by plusnet. 

Devil had the cheapest packet loss <a  href="http://www.mudboard.com/skyriver">internet service</a> . 

So what does all of this mean? If your unhappy together with your Internet service provider then change it, after all  of the price for Broadband/ADSL contacts are becoming  cheaper 

and faster, because  the performance and demand for competition increases.
