Radiant Energy could be the answer to the world's demand for costly & environmentally unfriendly power requirements and the concept of converting this freely available energy into usable power goes back to the days of the famous scientist, Nikola Tesla.
In fact, Tesla had a particular interest in the process of utilising cosmic rays to produce free energy.
One of advantages of cosmic rays is that they are present in the atmosphere all the time.

The larger the plate, the more effective your results will be; but a small plate is enough for the purpose of demonstration.
The plate must be installed as high as possible, as the higher the plate, the greater the output.
A wire connected to the aluminium plate would carry electric current generated by the device.
A full wave rectifier and a capacitor could be used to rectify and regulate the output current.
The voltage and intensity of current depends on the size of the aluminium plate and the height of installation of the plate; but even a small voltage and current is enough to illustrate the proof of concept.

Just to recap, Tesla's radiant energy device that taps into free energy (electromagnetic waves) in the atmoshere which is then channeled into an electrical circuit, consisting of a capacitor & step down transformer, providing a constant stream of usable electricity.
Whilst Tesla has had his fair share of sceptics regarding his invention of creating free electricity from radiant energy, many people have experimented with his technology & have managed to obtain significant amounts of electrical power from his design which suggested that his invention was entirely credible.
Tesla's invention has since been considered to be a reliable electricity generation method & basically consists of components including large metal plate that is suspended high enough to pick up energy from the atmosphere which is then transferred down to a capacitor which is charged with the current.
